FNW fest of 2013 started on 10. of October and lasted until 12. of October at Kupina film theater. There were 80 – 100 people each night that had the chance to see 40 selected films. The jury had a very hard job but this is the choices by the jury and by the audience, that had the chance to choose the film every night:

Paroniria – Mauricio Sanhueza, Peru


Throughout the centuries dreams have been to many cultures around the world the images that speak of the future. In modern times dreams have been seen as a connection to the unconscious. The psychiatric term “Paroniria” means: morbid dreams, strange nightmares, bizarre dreams.

The best animated film of the FNW fest 2013:

Mr. Hublot – Laurent Witz, Luxembourg


Mr Hublot is a withdrawn, idiosyncratic character with OCD, scared of change and the outside world. Robot Pet’s arrival turns his life upside down: he has to share his home with this very invasive companion…

The best documentary film of the FNW fest 2013:
Vaterlands Liebe – Nico Sommer, Germany


Jens is tolerant, tall and good-looking. His big honesty and loyalty to Germany brings him increasingly problems. Many people think he is a Nazi, although he only loves his native country…

The best fiction film of the FNW fest 2013:
Descenso al inferno – Sergi Guibas Arnau, Spain
